The MVP is an variation of the well known MVC (Model-View-Controller) pattern, with an more decentralized aspect, been applicable to technologies that implement event treatment, like desktop apps programming and, more recently, with the introduction of the new “web like desktop” programming model, more specifically, in ASP.Net and JSF (Java Server Faces).The motivation of the project was the inability to find a basic framework implementing the MVP pattern, like famous projects such as Jakarta Struts for Java and Maverick.Net, or CastleRail for DotNet, all of them using the MVC pattern.So, Evolution.Net aims to be one of the first, if not really the first, Open-Source framework for DotNet using the MVP pattern, in way to provide base for a simpler and quicker application development on the DotNet platform.
In order to do that, it should and will use/incorporate various other free (and desirably open too) libraries/frameworks, like Castle.Net, NHibernate, among many others, always with the purpose to ease the work of developers during the development and, specially, during maintenance, a stage that tends to be slow and complicated.The desirable characteristics of the project are:Relating to the framework architecture:
